Social Cage

back to all projects

This is a 3D animation I directed in 2005. It's inspired by the great George Orwell's 1984.

Social Cage is an accusation against our 'modern' society and its stereotyped people: everybody who prefer to accredit itself to the mass following stupid commands than feel free to be as they are. too much prejudges change our daily life.

. We are living in a society where appereance is considered much more important than contents. We are part of a system which drive us to a wrong direction following false principles and false myths. Even if at a first moment we could feel free, this system can deeply impose us what to do and how to behave to don't disappoint other's expectations. We are completly getting part of this dark society, where in truth, nobody feels really in comfort.

People have fear to be judged, to be not accepted for what they really really are. Everyday we are feeling the need of "adapt" ourselves.

We prefear to homologate ourself, to accept passively actual state of things, to camouflage ourself in the mass, to be equal to all the other, to disappear rather than to be neglect.

We must wake up.
